What's the difference between laminate and vinyl?

When choosing to floor you should consider what features are more important to you. SPC is usually dense and more durable because it's made out of limestone which makes it better resistant to dents or scratches. On the other hand, WPC is softer, quieter, and retains heat better than SPC.


Is laminate flooring waterproof?

Laminate flooring can be waterproof in some cases. Even though some laminate products say they're waterproof, typically laminate isn't. Water on Laminate can cause major damage to your flooring. Vinyl would be a better option if looking for waterproof flooring.


What goes under vinyl flooring?

The material underneath vinyl flooring is called underlayment. Underlayment is different depending on whether your using SPC or WPC and on where you want to install it.


Which click or glue down is better for Vinyl?

This depends on whether or not your floors are even. If your floors are uneven glue down is the better option but if your floors are even click installation is better.


Are there different types of hardwood??

Yes, there are two types of hardwood, engineered hardwood, and solid hardwood. The main difference is solid hardwood is made out of one solid piece of wood whereas engineered hardwood is made of multiple layers.

What tile is the most durable?

Porcelain tiles are the most durable because it is very hard, and dense, has a low absorption rate, and are long-lasting.


Can ceramic tiles be installed outside?

Ceramic tiles can be installed outside but for them to be resistant to extreme weather they need to have a high PEI (Porcelain Enamel Institute). A better option would be outdoor porcelain tiles because they are very durable, fade-resistant, scratch resistant, and more which is why the better choice would be porcelain tiles.


Is it better to have thicker flooring?

The thickness of a plank doesn't necessarily mean it's better quality than a thinner plank but there are benefits. If the plank is thicker it usually is more sound-resistant, durable, stable, and strong.
